Job summary
BH Live is recruiting Lifeguards for The Quays Swimming & Diving Complex in Southampton. The roles are available full-time and part-time; please indicate your preference on the application form.
The Quays is a High Performance Centre with dive facilities and multiple pools, offering public swims and swimming lessons. NPLQ is required and candidates must dive to at least 5 metres.
Qualifications
- NPLQ qualification is mandatory.
- Ability to dive to a depth of at least 5 metres.
- Satisfactory DBS clearance.
- Confident swimmer with good stamina.
- Remain calm under pressure and take initiative.
Responsibilities
- Work poolside as the main point of contact for customers.
- Ensure pool users are Safe and follow centre rules.
- Erect, dismantle and move equipment as required.
- Clean the centre and equipment regularly.
- Be vigilant and supervise pool and centre facilities.

The Quays Swimming & Diving Complex
BH Live is recruiting for NPLQ qualified Lifeguards to join our team at The Quays Swimming and Diving Centre. We have recruiting for full and part time Lifeguards, please indicate on your application form your preference.
The Quays Swimming & Diving Complex is one of only four High Performance Centres for diving in the UK, There is a 10m diving board with an 18m diving pool, with public swim sessions and swimming lessons taking place in a separate 25m main pool. Waterslides offer splashing fun for families and individuals, feeding into a separate lagoon pool complete with interactive water features.
- Work poolside and be the main point of contact for our customers.
- Ensure our customers are kept safe and comply with the centre rules.
- Erect, dismantle and move equipment.
- Clean the centre and equipment.
- Be vigilant and supervise people who are using the pool and centre facilities.
- A valid NPLQ qualification.
- Be able to dive down to at least 5 Metres.
- Satisfactory DBS Clearance.
- Be a confident swimmer.
- To keep calm under pressure and have good initiative.
- The ability to concentrate whilst working poolside.
- Great customer service skills.
- To be available to work hours aligned to the centres opening hours, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
- Be wiling to work at other local sites.
