Job summary

Horizon Leisure Centres in Havant is seeking a Centre Attendant/Lifeguard to support the Duty Management Team and deliver a first-class leisure experience.

You will welcome customers, provide product knowledge, and perform lifeguard and site duties while ensuring safety and cleanliness across facilities. The role involves working within a dynamic team with opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a customer services environment.
• Experience as a Centre Attendant/Lifeguard in a wet and dry centre.
• First Aid qualification.
• Manual Handling awareness.

Responsibilities

• Use the Horizon HELLO in all customer interactions.
• Welcome and assist customers with general enquiries.
• Understand and be knowledgeable about Horizon products and services.
• Undertake lifeguarding and operational duties as directed by the Duty Management Team.
• Maintain and monitor facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure customers and staff are treated with respect.
• Ensure safety of all customers and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
• Set-up and take down of sports equipment according to schedules.

Your Role

To assist the Duty Management Team in the operation and presentation of a first-class leisure facility to all Horizon Leisure Centre customers

Your Team

You’ll be working within our Operations Team and directly reporting to the Duty Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• Use the Horizon HELLO in all customer interactions

• Welcome and assist customers with general enquiries

• Understand and be knowledgeable about our products and services

• Undertake lifeguarding duties and operational duties as directed by the Duty Management Team

• Maintain and monitor all facilities to ensure cleanliness is paramount and always free of hazards

• Responsible for ensuring customers are treated with respect

• Responsible for ensuring staff are treated with respect

• Responsible for the safety of all customers and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults

• Set-up and take down of sports equipment according to schedules

Your Experience

• Experience of working in a customer services environment

• Experience as a Centre Attendant/Lifeguard in a wet and dry centre

• First Aid

• Manual Handling

Your Qualifications

• RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willing to undertake)

• HSE First Aid Qualification desirable

• Certificates in COSHH & Health & Safety desirable

This role will be based at Havant but will be expected to travel to other company site as the need requires.
