Job summary

The David Ross Education Trust is seeking a dedicated sports and enrichment coordinator to support our schools regionally. You will promote, plan and deliver enrichment opportunities, reporting on impact and showcasing results through photography and video.

You will build partnerships with local clubs, organise Trust-wide events such as the Summer Cup and Winter Cup, and help identify talented pupils to participate and excel. Strong organisation and safeguarding commitment are essential.

Qualifications

• Passion for sport.

• Keen to offer first-class opportunities to our pupils and beyond.
• Well organised and able to manage own time and workload.
• Coaching qualifications in hockey, athletics, netball, football, cricket and rugby desirable.
• Graduate with a good degree and sporting background.
• First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Promote, deliver, report and organise enrichment opportunities with the Head of PE to a high standard.
• Build relationships with local partners and identify opportunities for joint working.
• Reach out to community clubs and establish partnerships for high-quality coaching in/out of curriculum.
• Plan and deliver Trust-wide competitions, initiatives and events (Summer Cup, Winter Cup, talent programme, DRET All Stars).
• Prepare your team and help run the event on the day.
• Identify talented individuals and shape pathways for them to participate, compete and excel in elite sport.
• Ensure sports participation is captured in reporting, photography and video and showcased across the school.
• Engage other departments in cross-curricular opportunities and work with partners on sports opportunities and trips.
• Plan sporting trips and tours to inspire participation and excellence.

Job description

The role will also work closely with the Head of PE to ensure all enrichment opportunities are promoted, delivered, reported, and organised to a high standard throughout the school. Assist in planning and delivery of Trust wide competitions, initiatives and events, including the Summer Cup and Winter Cup; the talent programme and DRET All Stars. Preparing your team and helping run the event on the day. Help to identify and support talented individuals and shape pathways and opportunities for them to participate, compete and excel in elite sport. Ensure sports participation and success is captured in reporting, photography and video and showcased across the school. Engage other departments in cross-curricular opportunities. Work with partners to identify sports opportunities available to students (e.g. match tickets or events). Plan and help deliver sporting trips and tours to inspire sports participation and excellence.
