Job summary

Bobby Moore Academy, part of The David Ross Education Trust, is recruiting a permanent SEND support role to complement teaching staff. You will work under the Assistant Principal of Inclusion, undertake timetabled teaching, and help develop policies and strategies for inclusion across two London sites.

The role runs 37 hours per week for 39 weeks (including 5 INSET days) with focus on raising achievement for scholars, especially those with SEND, through planning, monitoring, and resource

Job description

You will work under the direction of the Assistant Principal of Inclusion to complement teachers' delivery of the national curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, scholars, school policies and strategies. This will include undertaking specified timetabled teaching, working collaboratively with teaching staff throughout the planning cycle, and the management and preparation of resources. This role provides support for scholars, teachers and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all scholars, especially those with SEND, by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes, and helping pupils to become independent learners, to provide support for their welfare, and to support the inclusion of scholars in all aspects of school life.
