Job summary

The David Ross Education Trust is recruiting to support pupils at Newnham Primary, with roles assisting the class teacher to deliver learning programs and support children's development. You will help create an inclusive, well-organised classroom environment and contribute to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

This is a Nursery/Primary support role on a full-time basis under the NJC pay scale, with benefits including LGPS, flexible working and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience working under supervision of a class teacher to support learning activities.
• Ability to assist in organising and managing pupils and the classroom.
• Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding of children.

Responsibilities

• Under the specific supervision of the class teacher, work with individuals and groups of pupils to deliver learning programs.
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
• Ensure children have access to appropriate activities to support their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development.
• Provide regular feedback to teachers on pupils' achievement and progress.
• To provide general support to the class teacher in the organisation and management of pupils and the classroom.
• To assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
• To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
• To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

Support the children attending Newnham Primary

• Under the specific supervision of the class teacher, work with individuals and groups of pupils to deliver learning programs.

• Have a sound knowledge and/or experience of the National Curriculum, Someone who can work under the specific supervision, instruction and guidance of the class teacher to support the teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
• To provide general support to the class teacher in the organisation and management of pupils and the classroom.
• To assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
• To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
• To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
