Job summary

New City College is seeking an experienced Level 7 SpLD Assessor to join the Supported Learning Team at Redbridge Campus. The role involves assessing learners, coordinating with support staff, and delivering high-quality educational experiences.

You will administer standardized assessments, report findings to parents and educators, and contribute to ongoing professional development. A part-time option of at least three days may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Qualified Level 7 SpLD assessor with APC.
• Experience working with teams of support professionals.
• Strong communication and ability to engage with students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Administer standardized tests and observational methods to evaluate reading, writing and maths skills and related abilities.
• Analyse assessment results to determine SpLD and its specific type.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, strengths, weaknesses and recommendations.
• Communicate findings to parents, educators and other stakeholders.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain expertise.
• Educate parents, teachers and professionals about SpLDs and effective strategies.
