Job summary

Are you a qualified SpLD Assessor looking for a new opportunity in London?

We are looking for an experienced SpLD Assessor & Support Tutor to provide specialist assessment and support to students with a range of additional learning needs.

The Role
  • Conduct specialist diagnostic assessments for SpLDs.
  • Administer standardised assessments covering reading, writing, maths, cognitive and language skills.
  • Analyse assessment results and produce detailed reports.
  • Identify individual strengths, needs and appropriate support strategies.
  • Provide specialist learning support and tutoring.
  • Manage Exam Access Arrangements (EAA) from referral through to confirmation.
  • Work closely with students, parents, teaching staff and support professionals.
  • Provide advice and guidance around SpLDs and effective support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate assessment and support records.
  • Keep up to date with relevant professional practice and legislation.
About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Level 7 SpLD qualification.
  • Current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC).
  • Experience conducting specialist diagnostic assessments.
  • Experience supporting students with SpLDs and additional learning needs.
  • Strong knowledge of Exam Access Arrangements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • A passionate, engaging and student-focused approach.
