Job summary

Dovetail and Slate in London is seeking a qualified SpLD Assessor & Support Tutor to deliver specialist assessments and targeted learning support for students with additional learning needs.

You will conduct diagnostic assessments, manage Exam Access Arrangements from referral to confirmation, and collaborate with students, parents and teaching staff to plan effective support.

Are you a qualified SpLD Assessor looking for a new opportunity in London?

We are looking for an experienced SpLD Assessor & Support Tutor to provide specialist assessment and support to students with a range of additional learning needs.

The Role

• Conduct specialist diagnostic assessments for SpLDs.
• Administer standardised assessments covering reading, writing, maths, cognitive and language skills.
• Analyse assessment results and produce detailed reports.
• Identify individual strengths, needs and appropriate support strategies.
• Provide specialist learning support and tutoring.
• Manage Exam Access Arrangements (EAA) from referral through to confirmation.
• Work closely with students, parents, teaching staff and support professionals.
• Provide advice and guidance around SpLDs and effective support strategies.
• Maintain accurate assessment and support records.
• Keep up to date with relevant professional practice and legislation.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Level 7 SpLD qualification.
• Current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC).
• Experience conducting specialist diagnostic assessments.
• Experience supporting students with SpLDs and additional learning needs.
• Strong knowledge of Exam Access Arrangements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• A passionate, engaging and student-focused approach.
