Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to provide Speech & Language support at a multi-site primary school in BS7, Bristol, for the full academic year starting September 2026. Role is full-time, term-time only, with a pay rate of £92.63–£97.00 per day.

The successful candidate will work one-to-one and with small groups, supporting pupils with SLCN and other SEND needs, in collaboration with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals.

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Speech and Language difficulties.
• Support children to develop communication, confidence and social interaction skills.
• Assist with targeted interventions and personalised learning activities.
• Work alongside class teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to deliver effective SEND support.
• Help pupils access the curriculum through adapted activities and communication strategies.
• Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where children feel supported.
