Tradewind Recruitment LTD. in Brentwood is seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 1 pupil with speech, language and communication needs in a primary school.

Starting in January 2027, this full-time, long-term role offers a daily rate of 95-110 depending on experience and suits someone who enjoys building relationships and making learning accessible. The ideal candidate will provide individualised learning and communication support, assist with speech activities, adapt tasks

Qualifications

• Have previous experience supporting children in a primary school, nursery or SEN setting.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be patient, encouraging and adaptable.

Responsibilities

Are you a Teaching Assistant with an interest in speech, language and communication development?

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 1 pupil with speech, language and communication needs in a primary school in Brentwood.

Starting in January 2027, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with pupils and finding creative ways to make learning accessible.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individualised learning and communication support.
• Supporting speech and language activities under the guidance of school staff and relevant specialists.
• Adapting classroom tasks to meet the pupil's communication needs.
• Encouraging participation in lessons and social activities.
• Supporting the development of confidence, independence and friendships.

The ideal candidate will:
