NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a Health Care Support Worker for the Fife Speech and Language Therapy Service at Lynebank Hospital, Dunfermline. The role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities and working closely with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should have relevant experience and skills in communication support, along with a commitment to staff wellbeing and diversity.
Fife Speech and Language Therapy Service has a Health Care Support Worker post available within our Adult Learning Disability team based at Lynebank Hospital, Dunfermline.
Under the supervision of registered Speech and Language Therapists, you will work with individuals with a learning disability, their families, and carers, as well as other professionals in the multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include supporting the running of the service by preparing therapy resources and undertaking administrative tasks related to clinical care.
Essential requirements include experience working with adults with a learning disability and knowledge of the impact of communication support needs on quality of life. Experience working in teams, along with excellent interpersonal, time management, and IT skills, is also required.
You will join a dynamic service with a well-developed peer facilitation and supervision model, and a strong commitment to staff wellbeing. You will be supported by the small Speech and Language Therapy Team at Lynebank Hospital.
