Job description

The Role

Hain Celestial is currently recruiting for a Specifications Technologist. You will be responsible for managing, completing, and maintaining retailer, branded, food service, and B2B specifications and artwork processes for Hain Celestial UK.

Key Responsibilities / Accountability of the Role:

1. Create and update product specifications for branded, own label, food service, and B2B products
2. Create pack copies, check, and approve artworks
3. Cooperate with NPD, R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production
4. Conduct periodic reviews of specifications to ensure accuracy and relevance
5. Ensure nutrition, health, and other marketing claims comply with appropriate regulations and advertising standards
6. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and changes to ensure compliance and recommend improvements
7. Provide regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders

What you will need for the Role:

1. Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Specifications Technologist, Spec Officer, Specifications Writer, Food Product Technologist, or a similar role. Proven retailer specs experience in a similar role is essential.
2. Strong knowledge of food regulations, food safety standards, and relevant labelling requirements is essential.
3. Proven ability to work under pressure to tight timelines.
4. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with complex technical information.
5. Proficient in using specifications management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
