We value and support our SAS doctors as senior clinicians, implementing the SAS charter and rolling out the 2020 SAS contract. We have an experienced SAS Tutor, Dr Yash Thakur, and SAS doctors holding senior roles nationally and locally.

We offer full-time opportunities in adult community mental health services and a part-time (34 hours) role in perinatal services. Previous applicants need not apply.

Main duties of the job

As a Specialty Doctor at LYPFT, you will benefit from:

  • A bespoke SAS CPD training programme
  • Access to a study leave budget for CPD, conferences, and courses
  • Weekly educational meetings with Consultants and trainees
  • Monthly clinical supervision with a Consultant
  • Support for MRCPsych exams and Section 12 approval if needed
  • Membership in a peer group and SAS committee
  • Two protected SPA sessions weekly
  • Opportunities for emergency on-call work if desired
  • Invitation to the annual Medical Leadership Day and leadership positions

Revalidation and appraisal are well established, with active participation expected from all Specialty Doctors.

Salary: £68,174 to £95,400 per annum / pro rata
