Job summary

Tweendykes School & Sixth Form is seeking a Specialist Teaching & Learning Support Assistant to work across the school with pupils aged 3–19 who have severe learning difficulties. The role involves supporting individuals and small groups, including personal care routines, to enable access to the curriculum while promoting independence.

The post requires experience with SEN, safeguarding, and effective use of ICT, in a caring, professional environment within Humber Education Trust.

Qualifications

• Understanding of National Curriculum, EYFS Guidance and safeguarding.
• Effective use of ICT to support teaching and learning.
• Courtesy, tact and diplomacy in interactions.
• Ability to work with children, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to planning and evaluation of learning and provide feedback to teachers on learners’ attainment, progress and behaviour.
• Supervises and provides specialist support for individuals with SEN and health needs.
• Support the academic, social, emotional and development of learners.
• Assist with Individual Education / Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
• Set high expectations and promote independence.
