Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience with children or young people in education.
• Calm, consistent and compassionate approach.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with professional boundaries.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Safeguarding understanding and vulnerability awareness.
• Resilience and flexibility to adapt approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons.
• Adapt teaching to individual learning and additional needs.
• Support pupils individually and in small groups.
• Build trusted relationships with young people.
• Help pupils develop confidence and engagement with education.
• Use positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies.
• Work closely with support staff and other professionals.
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
