Job summary

Ripple Education is recruiting Specialist Teachers to support children and young people in Ashington across primary and secondary settings. Roles include full‑time, part‑time and flexible long‑term placements with a focus on building positive relationships and engaging, structured learning experiences.

You will work with learners who may have SEMH needs, SEND needs or other disruptions to education, applying calm, compassionate approaches and strong classroom management to help pupils succeed.

Qualifications

• QTS and experience in education settings.
• Calm, compassionate approach with pupils.
• Strong behaviour management and safeguarding practices.
• Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining boundaries.
• Experience in SEND, SEMH, or specialist settings is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons.
• Adapt teaching to individual learning needs and additional support requirements.
• Support pupils individually and in small groups.
• Build trusted, consistent relationships with young people.
• Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and engagement with education.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and work with support staff and professionals.
