Job summary

The Salvation Army in Glasgow is seeking a Specialist Support Worker to join the Wallace of Campsie House Lifehouse team. You will deliver a high-quality support service designed to promote client choice, build skills, and enable positive life choices for homeless adults in the area.

You will work with the Addiction Team, deliver Naloxone training, and share expertise to promote Harm Reduction. You will maintain records and report monthly trends to inform service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering support services to homeless or vulnerable clients.
• Knowledge of substance use and harm reduction.
• Understanding of the benefits system and funded housing reporting.
• Ability to develop and deliver client-focused support services.
• Understanding trauma-informed practice and its application.
• Level 3 SVQ or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality support that promotes client choice and skill development.
• Deliver Naloxone training and lead group work with the Addiction Team.
• Maintain records and submit monthly stats and trend reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to provide multi-agency services.
