Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Southampton is recruiting SEN and SEMH support staff to work within specialist schools and provisions across the Southampton area. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.

We’re keen to hear from people with experience in SEN, SEMH, behaviour support, or care, as well as those with a strong interest in specialist education.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate qualifications and training for SEN/SEMH roles.
  • Experience in SEN, SEMH, behaviour support, or care is valued.
  • DBS check and safeguarding compliance required or in progress.

Responsibilities

  • Support SEN and SEMH students in classrooms and activities.
  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to learners with additional needs.
  • Assist with behaviour management and pastoral support as required.
  • Support learning activities and equipment for SEN learners.
  • Coordinate with specialists and teachers to implement plan-based support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
