Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust in Oswestry is recruiting a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work across spinal injury, dysphagia, voice and neurology services. The role offers a diverse caseload and opportunities for advanced clinical development within a nationally recognised MDT.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration are required.
• Specialist clinical training and broad pre/post qualification experience are expected.
• Experience in dysphagia, video fluoroscopy and tracheostomy is desirable.
• Evidence of teaching, audit and research is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention for adults with complex communication, swallowing and voice needs.
• Work across spinal injury services, HDU, general wards and community settings.
• Contribute to neuromuscular pathway development within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support clinical governance and ongoing professional development.
