Are you a Speech and Language Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills within a highly specialist service? We are delighted to off a brand new role within our Speech and Language Therapy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and develop a unique specialist role, working across the renowned Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH), theMidland Centre for Spinal Injuries (MCSI), and community services in Oswestry. This is a rare opportunity to work at the interface of specialist spinal injuries, dysphagia, communication disorders, voice, neurology and community rehabilitation, providing a diverse and rewarding caseload that supports both professional growth and clinical excellence. Working closely with our Clinical Lead for Spinal Cord Injury Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention for adults with complex communication, swallowing and voice needs.

In addition, you will contribute to our expanding neuromuscular pathway and be actively involved in the ongoing development of a specialist speech and language therapy service within this well-established and nationally recognised MDT.
The current suggested work plan includes; 1 session of outpatient voice clinic/week, 1 session of neuro/general outpatient clinic/week, 4 sessions on the wards across the hospital, 2 sessions within the neuromuscular service and 2 sessions of domiciliary community work. Total of 10 sessions per week or 5 days per week.
