Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Band 6 Acute Services Rotation within the Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service. The post covers two hospital sites, with experience across neurosurgery, neurology, neuro-oncology, acute medicine and stroke.

You will be part of a dynamic acute team delivering assessment and intervention to adults with complex communication and swallowing needs, with regular supervision and opportunities

Qualifications

• Speech & Language Therapy Degree
• HCPC Registration
• Post-graduate dysphagia qualification to at least RCSLT level C.
• Evidence of specialist post graduate CPD relevant to clinical area.
• Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist Speech and Language Therapy services to adults with complex communication and swallowing needs.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan and deliver interventions.
• Contribute to education and training within clinical areas and participate in service development.
