NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6) to join the East Renfrewshire Learning Disability Service. This full-time post involves autonomous practice, specialist assessment and intervention for adults with learning disabilities and associated needs.

The role is fixed-term for 1 year, 36 hours per week, based at Barrhead Health and Care Centre, with a Monday–Friday pattern and hours to be confirmed.

Competenze

• Specialist knowledge in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
• Knowledge of assessment and management of eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing within a multidisciplinary team.

Mansioni

• Provide highly specialised SLT assessments and interventions.
• Deliver care to adults with learning disabilities, mental health difficulties, and eating, drinking, and swallowing disorders.
• Manage a complex and specialist caseload independently.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide indirect interventions and consultation to families, service providers, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and service delivery.
