NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6) to join the East Renfrewshire Learning Disability Service. This full-time post involves autonomous practice, specialist assessment and intervention for adults with learning disabilities and associated needs.
The role is fixed-term for 1 year, 36 hours per week, based at Barrhead Health and Care Centre, with a Monday–Friday pattern and hours to be confirmed.

We are looking for a full‑time Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6) to join the East Renfrewshire Learning Disability Service. As part of an integrated health and social work team, the successful candidate will provide a specialist Speech and Language Therapy service to adults with learning disabilities, mental health difficulties, and eating, drinking, and swallowing disorders. Working as an autonomous practitioner, you will manage a complex caseload and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care. The role also includes providing specialist assessment, direct intervention, and consultation to families, service providers, and healthcare professionals.
All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
