Job summary

NHS Scotland in Inverness seeks a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist (ALD) to lead and shape services for adults with learning disabilities across North Highland. Based in Inverness, you will provide clinical leadership, stakeholder engagement and strategic oversight for the ALD SLT service.

You will supervise the ALD SLT team, supervise junior therapists, and deliver specialist teaching while coordinating service delivery across a wide geography including Inverness-Shire and surrounding

Qualifications

• BSc in Speech Pathology and Therapeutics or equivalent.
• HCPC registration is essential.
• RCSLT registration preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the ALD SLT team.
• Coordinate day-to-day ALD SLT service delivery.
• Provide highly specialist input and consultancy to adults with learning disabilities.
• Deliver complex case management and education to teams and carers.
