NHS Highland seeks a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist to lead the ALD SLT service in the Highlands. Based in Inverness, the post is Band 8a, 0.8 WTE, permanent, with leadership, development and strategic oversight responsibilities.
You will provide highly specialist input, supervise staff, and support education for professionals, carers and students, traveling as required across the North Highland area.

The ALD SLT Team sits within the wider SLT adult team which is friendly and dynamic team of 20 Speech and Language Therapists serving the North Highland Area, and covering the full range of Adult Acquired specialisms.
The SLT Team has a strong commitment to Professional Development, supervision and Quality improvement.
Applicants will require extensive relevant experience of working in ALD SLT and will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and strategic planning skills as well as excellent communication skills.
A BSc, or equivalent, in Speech Pathology and Therapeutics, is essential, and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. Registration with RCSLT is preferred
As this is a Highland-wide post, travel is an essential part of this role therefore a driving licence is required
