Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist cardio-thoracic medical, surgical and transplant centre providing care nationwide. You will be working with patient cohorts including cardiothoracic surgery, transplant, ECMO, respiratory and ventilatory failure. We are looking for a therapist who is either looking to commence or further develop their tracheostomy, videofluoroscopy (VFSS) and fibreoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) competencies, alongside managing their own patient caseload. Instrumental assessments are a key part of our care provision and are carried out on patients with a variety of complex needs. You will be working within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team who strive for excellence and innovation, with the patient at the forefront of everything that we do. We encourage innovative thinking and contribution towards service development to ensure that we are evolving as a team to provide high quality speech and language therapy provision. You will have extensive opportunity to gain clinical skills with complex patients; in particular tracheostomy, VFSS and FEES competencies.
