Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band Speech and Language Therapist to work in the community CPFT Speech and Language Therapy Team. The post holder will work in the South of the County alongside colleagues, providing input to patients with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.
The successful applicant will join a friendly, innovative team of therapists and clinical assistants. The team meets regularly for meetings, and the post holder will receive regular line management and clinical supervision. The service currently holds two clinical development days a year, providing opportunities for the team to develop their clinical skills.
Please note: For this role, you will be required to travel independently around the county, meeting strict time deadlines. You must hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a vehicle. Public transport is not suitable for this role, as it is unreliable and insufficient to meet service needs. Please confirm in your application that you meet these criteria.
The post involves working independently, providing speech and language therapy to patients on outpatient and domiciliary basis, as well as in community hospital wards, ensuring high-quality clinical care. You will work with patients with communication impairments, dysphagia, and potentially some voice work.
