Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in Greenwich is recruiting a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to deliver services in School Years and Special Schools teams. You will work as part of a large multidisciplinary team and provide expert SLT to children and young people with diverse speech, language and communication needs.

You will have access to supervision and CPD, and opportunities to shape service improvement alongside Principal and Highly Specialist colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with professional registration.
• Experience as a Band 6 Specialist SLT is desirable.
• Experience with AAC, ASD, Dysphagia and SEMH preferred.
• Independently manage a caseload and collaborate with teachers and health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of children and young people.
• Develop and refine assessment and intervention skills.
• Work with teachers, outreach services and other health professionals.
• Support parents/carers in clinical care with senior guidance.
• Provide specialist SLT services for diverse speech, language and communication needs.
• Contribute to service improvement with colleagues on strategic plans.
