Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking an experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Children’s Integrated Therapies Service in a newly created Early Years complex needs role. You will manage a caseload of 0-4 year olds with complex communication needs, support families at home and in education settings, and contribute to service development with CPD and supervision.

Qualifications

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree qualifications.
Registration with HCPC-Licence to Practice.
Registered Member of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
Evidence of successful completion of a range of generic and specialist short courses at post-graduate level.

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, diagnosis and therapy for pre-school children with speech, language and communication needs, including complex cases.
Support parents, clients and professionals in all aspects of client management and training as appropriate.
Take responsibility for projects across the Integrated Therapies service and disseminate information/resources.
Develop and implement evidence-based speech and language therapy for children with diverse needs.
Support training and development of team members.
Meet SEND responsibilities under legislation and contribute to EHCP delivery.
Liaise with schools, families and health/education colleagues to coordinate care and initiatives.
