Job summary

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust’s Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service is seeking a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work across school settings, supporting universal, targeted and specialist services for school-aged children. You will split your time between Watergate Special School and the mainstream core/traded pathway, delivering integrated care within a multi-disciplinary team.

Candidates should hold a recognised SLT degree and HCPC registration, with experience of working

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree with HCPC registration.
• Membership of RCSLT and relevant CPD.
• Postgraduate training in dysphagia highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to Therapies Manager and contribute to School Aged team.
• Develop, test, implement new ways of working within multi-disciplinary care pathways.
• Assess, diagnose, manage, and evaluate outcomes for children and young people with SLT needs.
• Develop and evaluate specialist teaching packages within the clinical caseload.
• Engage with schools and parents to deliver evidence-based interventions.
