Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a qualified SEND Teacher to join a High-Level Needs Hub at a primary school in the NG7 area. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons for around 20 pupils with complex needs, helping them access learning and develop independence in a nurturing environment.

The role involves working with Teaching Assistants, developing communication, social, emotional skills, and monitoring pupil progress while following safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent
• Experience in SEND or specialist setting
• Experience with high-level/complex needs
• Strong inclusive teaching and differentiation
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• Calm, patient, nurturing approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a wider SEND team
• Enhanced DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Teaching approximately 20 pupils with high-level SEND needs with differentiated lessons.
• Adapting teaching to meet individual pupil needs and abilities.
• Monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress.
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and other support staff.
• Following safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
