Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a Specialist Teacher for SEND Units and ARPs to provide expert guidance and support to schools across the borough. You will help develop, implement and quality-assure specialist SEND provision, working with school leadership teams and partner professionals to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Qualifications

• Significant experience supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Ability to provide expert advice, challenge and support to schools and education professionals.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation, inclusive practice and specialist provision.
• Confident delivering training and professional development to colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, guidance and support to schools delivering SEND Units and ARPs across the borough.
• Contribute to commissioning, service development and provision planning for specialist provision.
• Collaborate with school leaders and partner agencies to secure high-quality provision and outcomes for SEND pupils.
