Job summary

TeacherActive Limited in Mansfield is recruiting SEND Teachers for supply work across specialist SEND schools. You will deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to each pupil’s needs and adapt to various learning requirements while maintaining consistent routines and a positive classroom environment.

The role supports communication, independence and emotional wellbeing, with ongoing CPD and weekly PAYE payments.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND.
• Strong adaptive teaching and classroom management skills.
• Patient, empathetic and flexible approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Delivering lessons adapted to pupils’ abilities and learning needs.
• Using varied teaching approaches to support engagement and progress.
• Following individual support plans and school routines.
• Supporting communication, independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Managing behaviour with a calm, positive and consistent approach.
• Working closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff.
