Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves is seeking a dedicated Primary Class Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Hackney, supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties. The role involves delivering engaging, differentiated lessons and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to tailor learning plans and monitor progress.

The ideal candidate has QTS and SEN experience, with a passion for helping pupils with complex needs reach their potential.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching in a primary setting; SEN experience is highly desirable.
Understanding of Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and strategies for supporting pupils with complex needs.
Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons suited to individual learning abilities.
Experience supporting communication, sensory, and developmental needs is desirable.
Strong classroom management and behaviour-support skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work alongside Teaching Assistants and other professionals.
Patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Implement personalised learning programmes and monitor pupil progress.
Support pupils' communication and sensory needs in daily activities.
