Ribbons & Reeves is seeking an SLD Teacher to lead a Primary or Early Years class in a specialist SEN school in Hackney, East London. You will nurture communication, independence and learning in a supportive environment.

The role suits experienced SLD teachers or those moving from mainstream primary or EYFS into SEN, with a patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach and a strong commitment to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Experience in primary, EYFS or SEN setting.
• Patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach.
• Commitment to inclusive education and pupil potential.
• Strong classroom management, teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching for a primary or EYFS class with SLD.
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to individual needs.
• Support development of communication, sensory awareness and independence.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals.
• Create a safe, structured environment where pupils progress.
• Adapt activities using practical resources and communication strategies.
