Job summary

Monmouthshire County Council in Monmouth is seeking a Specialist Resource Base Teaching Assistant on maternity cover to support learners with complex neurodevelopmental needs within a Primary School setting.

The role is 32.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year) with a salary of £30,515–£32,578 pro rata for non-full-time hours. Temporary end date 31/08/2027; DBS check required (Enhanced with Children Barred List). Welsh language skills are desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our wonderful Primary School and Specialist Resource Base, working as a highly effective and skilled teaching assistant to support our learners with complex neurodevelopmental needs.

SALARY - IMPORTANT INFORMATION : Salary would be pro rata if not working full time hours or 52 weeks per year.

i.e. 37 hours per week / 32.5 per week for School Teachers

Temporary End Date (if applicable): 31/08/2027

Location: Overmonnow Primary School, NP25 5BA, United Kingdom. This may change in the future if the service location needs to relocate. Relocation or disturbance expenses will not be paid if this happens.
