Our school provides specialist education for children and young people with a range of additional learning needs and creates a welcoming, inclusive, and positive learning environment where every pupil is valued as an individual.

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families, and support staff, our school's committed to helping our learners develop the skills, confidence, and resilience they need for the future.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) both in and out of the classroom.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and personalised learning activities.
  • Promote communication, social interaction, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
  • Provide individual and small-group support to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Assist in implementing education and support plans tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Support positive behaviour strategies and create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
  • Encourage pupils to achieve their personal goals and celebrate their successes.

We would love to hear from candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, particularly within an SEN, education, care, or support setting.
  • Are patient, empathetic, resilient, and adaptable.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Are passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people.
  • Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have a positive, proactive approach and a commitment to inclusive education.

A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but we welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.

  • The opportunity to work in a highly rewarding specialist education setting.
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • The chance to positively impact the lives of children and young people every day.
  • A welcoming environment where staff wellbeing and development are valued.
