Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a primary school in the Neath area to recruit a qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a term initially. The role will be in a Nursery Class five days a week, supporting the class teacher and leading small group activities.

Applicants should have a minimum of 6 months experience with children and hold the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, with a proactive and compassionate approach to help children learn and develop.

The Head Teacher is looking to appoint a qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a term initially, and the successful candidate will work in a Nursery Class five days a week. You will be supporting the class teacher and leading small group activities.

TeacherActive are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate who:

• Will have relevant experience of working with children (minimum of 6 months)
• Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools
• Will be required to work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
• Responsible for working with an individual pupil and small groups
• Will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given solutions with integrity and compassion
• Has the ability to encourage every child to learn and achieve and has enthusiasm, skill and desire to make a difference
• Can plan, prepare and promote constructive play during the lunchtime period
