Job summary

CNTW NHS Foundation Trust in the North East invites applications for a band 6 physiotherapist or a band 5 ready to develop into band 6, focused on dementia and complex mental health conditions within Northumberland.

You will work as part of a responsive MDT to deliver specialist assessment and management, develop core pathways, and contribute to service development through evidence-based practice, research, and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified physiotherapist with registration and eligibility to practice in the UK.
• Ability to work in dementia and complex mental health contexts.
• Experience in holistic assessment and multidisciplinary care.

Job description

This is an opportunity for a band 6 physiotherapist or a physiotherapist to move into a developmental post working as a band 6 or working from a Band 5 and developing into a Band 6 role. It is your chance to make a real difference to people living with dementia and complex, enduring mental health conditions within Northumberland.

You will be a skilled and knowledgeable team player who is able to think holistically and creatively to deliver specialist assessment and management and physiotherapy service provision for service users who have a variety of complex physiotherapy needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health, alongside our multi-disciplinary team.

Alongside the clinical leads and other colleagues, you will contribute to the service development and implementation of evidence-based core pathways across community services whilst contributing to the inpatient team from this perspective. Using research, innovation, and quality improvement.
