NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. This is a permanent, part-time position of 8 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday.
Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
You will have a BSc in Dietetics or equivalent and be registered with the HCPC. Either postgraduate training in paediatric dietetics or diabetes experience preferred. Further training and CPD will be discussed and provided as required.
A full UK driver’s licence is required.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dietitian with a passion for paediatric dietetics to further develop their knowledge and skills. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated dietitian who is enthusiastic about providing a high-quality service to patients with diabetes in paediatrics.
Although paediatric experience is preferred, we are also inviting applications from dietitians who are interested in paediatrics as a career but have perhaps not had the opportunity to work in this area as yet. Funding for the BDA post registration paediatric modules would also be available.
The Children’s diabetes service in Glasgow is one of the largest paediatric centres in Europe and cares for over 800 children, young people and their families living with Type 1, Type 2 and monogenic diabetes. The multidisciplinary teams includes 7 medical staff, 14 diabetes specialist nurses, 4 dietitians, 2 diabetes support workers, 1 young adult nurse and 2 clinical psychologists.
You will work within a larger clinical team of dietitians and receive excellent peer support and opportunities for personal and professional development. You will also participate in the Scottish student clinical placement programme.
