About the role

We are recruiting a Specialist Nurse within the Forensic Assessment, Consultation, Treatment & Training (FACTT) Service, which is an established community forensic service for autistic adults and adults with a learning disability in Coventry and Warwickshire.

We are seeking an experienced nurse with a background in community and forensic work with adults with learning disabilities and/or autistic adults. Applications are welcome from staff who are currently working at Band 6 level or above.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering specialist nursing care, supporting service development, and ensuring safe and effective clinical delivery across inpatient and community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work with the clinical lead of the FACTT service to ensure the safe and effective delivery of the service.
  • To work collaboratively and effectively with others to deliver the agreed nursing responsibilities of the FACTT Service.
  • To be operationally responsible for the health care and nursing staff employed in relation to the FACTT service, as directed by the clinical lead and operational manager.
  • To be responsible for organising and overseeing the use of the physical resources required to run the FACTT LDA service.
  • To contribute to future developments of the offender group treatment programmes and the community forensic service.
  • To provide teaching and training of others.
  • To provide specialist assessments and consultation to others in a range of agencies (e.g. health, social care, third sector, probation).
  • To coordinate referrals into the FACTT service including liaison with relevant commissioners.
