Job summary

The Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council's Specialist Inclusion Team is seeking a dedicated qualified teacher to join from January 2027. You will support pupils with SEMH needs across Rotherham and advise school staff on suitable learning approaches.

With at least three years’ SEND Coordinator experience, you will work peripatetically across multiple schools, travelling as needed. Hybrid/home working options and Kimberworth Place office space are available for planning and reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with at least three years' recent SEND Coordinator experience.
• Experience advising school staff on SEMH needs.
• Experience across KS3/4 and multiple schools.
• Willingness to travel within the Borough and neighbouring authorities.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with diverse needs across the 0-19 age range across Rotherham.
• Advise on individual learning needs and support whole-school SEND development.
• Travel between schools and settings across Rotherham to provide specialist Inclusion support.
