Barnsley Council is hiring five Specialist Support Workers to join the Education Inclusion Service. You will support borough-wide SEND inclusion with a focus on SEMH and SCI needs, coaching staff and modelling techniques in schools.

The role is a 3-year fixed-term contract (term-time), demanding travel across the borough and strong collaboration with schools and parents/carers to promote inclusive practice.

Qualificações

• Experience and knowledge in SEMH and SCI needs for school settings.
• Up-to-date SEND legislation including The Children and Families Act 2014.
• Ability to work across multi-agency teams to support inclusion.
• Strong communication skills and staff coaching abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Provide hands-on support, advice and guidance, interventions, and strategies to remove barriers to learning.
• Up-skill staff through coaching and modelling techniques in mainstream schools.
• Review provision and impact measures for children and young people you support.
