Job summary

Woodfield Education Centre in Redhill is seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND at a specialist satellite provision of Woodfield School. You will lead planned activities, interventions and lessons, working closely with teachers and other support staff.

The role requires recognised HLTA status or an appropriate HLTA qualification and experience supporting children in education.

Qualifications

• Recognised HLTA status or HLTA qualification.
• Experience supporting children or young people in an educational setting.
• Confident leading learning and supporting pupils with different needs.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• support individuals, small groups and whole classes
• adapt activities and resources to make learning accessible and engaging
• help pupils develop communication, confidence and independence
• support positive behaviour and help pupils remain engaged in learning
• contribute to assessment and share clear feedback on pupils’ progress
