Job summary

Woodlands School is looking for a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive, modern learning environment.

You will plan, deliver and evaluate learning for individuals, groups and sometimes whole classes, working closely with class teachers and guiding Education and Health Care Assistants. DBS check is required.

Experience in SEND settings is highly desirable and professional development is provided to grow leadership and safeguarding knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in a special school or SEND setting is highly desirable.
• Ability to meet pupils’ complex needs with ongoing professional development provided.
• Experience in leading and supervising other staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate learning for individuals, groups and classes.
• Provide leadership and supervision for Education and Health Care Assistants (EHCAs).
• Collaborate with class teachers to ensure high-quality provision.
