Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a clinical/counselling psychologist to lead specialist assessment and intervention for patients with sickle cell disease, thalassaemia, and rare anaemias. The role involves MDT collaboration, clinics, ward rounds, and potential inpatient work.

The post sits within the Department of Medical Psychology, led by a band 8b psychologist, with opportunities for bank sessions and flexible working patterns under policy guidelines.

Formación

• Clinical or counselling psychology background is essential.
• Experience in specialist assessment and intervention desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Specialist assessment and psychological intervention for haemoglobinopathy patients.
• One-to-one assessment and support for patients.
• Consultation with multidisciplinary team colleagues.
• Input into clinics, ward rounds and MDT meetings.
• Attend annual review clinics in Leicester and Northampton.
• Possible inpatient work and staff training.
• One general medical session per week with complex assessments and groups.
• Work with patients referred by other specialties.
