Job summary

Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced Practitioner Psychologist for a Band 8a, 0.6 WTE post in the Sandwell and West Birmingham Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Service, based at MMUH in Birmingham. The role combines clinical, teaching, supervision and leadership responsibilities within a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide expert psychological assessment and intervention, support service development, and promote psychologically informed care across the service,

Qualifications

• Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied Psychology (or equivalent) as accredited by the BPS, with expertise in psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, and multiple therapies.
• HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status.
• Training in clinical supervision and supervision of doctoral trainees.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist psychological care to clients with complex mental health needs or learning disabilities.
• Lead, develop and deliver teaching, training, supervision and consultation to multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Embed psychological principles into service delivery and care pathways.
• Lead in service audit, evaluation and research to inform service development.
