Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic clinical/counselling psychologist to join the Haemoglobinopathy Team in Leicester. The role involves up to seven sessions weekly, with three and a half days in haemoglobinopathy, plus possible bank sessions across other medical services.

You will conduct specialist assessments and interventions for patients with sickle cell disease, thalassaemia, and rare anaemias, and collaborate with MDT colleagues in a supportive psychology

Qualifications

• Must be a clinical/counselling psychologist registered to practice in the UK.
• Experience working within haemoglobinopathy or medical psychology MDTs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist psychological assessments and interventions for patients with sickle cell disease, thalassaemia and rare anaemias.
• Work within the MDT and attend annual review clinics in Leicester and Northampton.
• Potential for inpatient work, ward rounds and staff training; offer one session weekly to General Medical Service.
