A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Specialist Community Public Health School Nurse to deliver effective nursing services to vulnerable school-aged children. This permanent position involves working collaboratively with families and relevant agencies, with an emphasis on prevention and support. Candidates must hold a Specialist Community Public Health qualification and are required to be car owners with a valid UK driving licence.
Band 6 £41,608 - £50,702 per annum
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Type: Permanent post
The post holder will provide an accessible, person-centred, effective school nursing service for vulnerable school-aged children who have been identified as being at risk and requiring additional support. This will be achieved by working in partnership with children, young people, families, carers, and partner agencies.
A continuous focus on prevention, early intervention, and support will prevail, concentrating on ten priority areas under overarching themes of vulnerable children and families, mental health and wellbeing, and risk-taking behaviors.
The post holder will work within a team but will be responsible for a caseload and function as an autonomous practitioner by virtue of in-depth knowledge, expertise, experience, and proficiency.
Applications are invited from first-level registered nurses possessing a Specialist Community Public Health qualification.
Applicants must be car owners and hold a full UK driving licence.
