Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated SEND Tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to children and young people across Knowsley.

This role involves supporting learners with SEND, helping them overcome barriers to education and achieve meaningful academic and personal progress. Starting September 2026 with flexible 5–15 hours per week.

You'll create engaging lessons tailored to each learner's needs, building confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND.

The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced SEND Tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to children and young people across Knowsley.

This rewarding role involves supporting learners with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them overcome barriers to education and achieve meaningful academic and personal progress.

Working on a one-to-one basis, you'll create engaging lessons tailored to each learner's individual needs, building confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
• QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (desirable)
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition
• A patient, flexible and engaging teaching approach

To be eligible, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
• Provide two professional child-related references
