Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced Part Time Tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to children and young people across Manchester. This rewarding role involves supporting learners with SEND, helping them overcome barriers to education and achieve meaningful academic and personal progress.

Working on a one-to-one basis, you’ll create engaging lessons tailored to each learner’s individual needs, building confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND.
• QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (desirable).
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
• A patient, flexible and engaging teaching approach.

This rewarding role involves supporting learners with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them overcome barriers to education and achieve meaningful academic and personal progress.

Working on a one-to-one basis, youll create engaging lessons tailored to each learners individual needs, building confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Position Details:

• Location: Manchester
• Position: SEND Tutor
• Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible)
• Start Date: September 2026
• Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
• QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (desirable)
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition
• A patient, flexible and engaging teaching approach

To be eligible, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
• Provide two professional child-related references
